* It sounds simple to do,  it is simple to do, but where do I do it you may ask?  Ask no more just follow the tutorial below and your done.

1: Log in to the administrator area of your site. Select Main Menu as shown in picture below.

2:  Select the home menu item from the menu items list.

3: Open the systems parameters tab which is located to the right handside of the screen. Change the title to whatever you wish e.g: '"Welcome to Joomlage Tutorials".  If you choose not to display the welcome message on your front page set the Show Page Title to No.  To display the title set it to Yes.  When completed click the Save button at the top right of your screen.  Mission complete.
