In order to use the Moo dropdown menu it is first necessary to set up your menu to have Parent/Child relationships. The Parent menu item will be the head menu item while the Child menu item will be your sub-menu item, the menu item within your dropdown.

For this tutorial we are going to use Joomlas sample contents Main Menu item module.

1: Log in to your Joomla admin and navigate to your Main Menu menu item manager (Menus -> Main Menu).

2: The Menu Item Manager lists the menu items contained in a menu created using the Menu Manager.  Once you have accessed the Menu Item Manager click on the menu item you wish to make a sub-item or 'child' in your menu. On your item details page you will notice the Parent Item parameter along the left of your screen.

3: It is with this parameter you assign a parent item to the item you are editing.  As default the Parent Item is set to Top. In this case, we are going to set the parent to Joomla! License.

4: Once you have selected your parent item click Save and you have then created the first parent/child relationship. In this case we have the Joomla! License menu item to be the parent to the Joomla! Overview menu item
