John,
I note that with many of your templates the main menu position is 7 or 8. I have a need to position a main menu below the showcase position so that I can have an image slider above the main menu. Can you please tell me how I can do this?
Thanks,
Gary

Hello Gary,

The main menu is not in any position called 7 or 8.
The main menu cannot be moved from where it is located in the template layout. It is always in the header.

Thanks,

John,
If I go to Extensions/Modules I can see a module called Main Menu which is in position-7 or position-8 - is this not the menu displayed in the header?
But I guess you are saying it is not possible to display the Showcase position above the main menu?
Is it possible to not display the main menu at all?
Thanks,
Gary

What template do you wish to hide the menu in?

I hadn't really decided yet, but possible the One template. I am just doing some research for a client who is wanting a simple 1 page site and hence wouldn't require a menu on it. But I still want too use Joomla to take advantage of the many other features available.

You could hide the menu with some css.

Thanks,
JohnO
