How to hide the more articles links in Joomla Category Blog
In your Joomla administration do the following.
1: Goto Content >> Article Manager.
2: Click on the Options button located near the top right of your screen.
3: Click on the BLOG/FEATURED LAYOUTS tab.
4: Set the Links Field to 0.

You would need to create a override to do that. I do not have a tutorial for that.
